SriLankan Airlines has resumed direct flights between Colombo and Kuwait, with a six-weekly service commencing from Saturday (8), restoring an important air link between Sri Lanka and the Gulf region.
Flight UL229 will operate from Colombo to Kuwait every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, departing at 5.10 p.m. and arriving in Kuwait at 8.05 p.m.
The return flight, UL230, will depart Kuwait at 9.10 p.m. on the same days and arrive in Colombo at 5.15 a.m. the following day. The renewed service is expected to provide greater convenience for passengers travelling between Sri Lanka and Kuwait, particularly migrant workers, business travellers and visitors. The resumption also strengthens Sri Lanka’s international air connectivity and supports travel, tourism and economic links with the Middle East. The six-weekly schedule provides passengers with greater flexibility while enhancing direct connectivity between Colombo and Kuwait.
