People’s Bank has once again been recognised as one of Sri Lanka’s outstanding women-friendly workplaces at the Satynmag Women Friendly Workplace Awards 2026, held recently at The Grand Maitland.
This marks the sixth consecutive year that People’s Bank has received this prestigious recognition, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to fostering gender equality, diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
The recognition reflects the Bank’s continued focus on best practices in promoting gender inclusion, leadership development and mentorship opportunities, while creating a safe, supportive and inclusive working environment. With women comprising over 60% of its workforce, People’s Bank continues to empower and support women employees across all areas of banking.
The achievement further reinforces People’s Bank’s position as a leading organisation committed to driving positive change and fostering a more inclusive and equitable corporate culture in Sri Lanka.

Since its inception in 2021, the Satynmag Women Friendly Workplace Awards have emerged as one of Sri Lanka’s leading platforms recognising organisations that demonstrate a strong commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace.
