DFCC Bank PLC conducted its first “Wyapara Hamuwa” programme for 2026 in Kuliyapitiya, bringing together suppliers connected to PROJAR Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, a Spain-based coconut chips exporting company operating in the region.
The programme engaged 40 coconut chips suppliers, creating a focused platform to strengthen financial understanding and business practices among small and medium-scale participants within the value chain. The session was attended by representatives from PROJAR Lanka, members of DFCC Bank’s Business Banking team, and officials from the DFCC Bank Kuliyapitiya Branch.
Designed as a practical engagement, the session centred on financial literacy, banking fundamentals, and entrepreneurship development, equipping participants with insights to better manage cash flows, strengthen operations, and support long-term business continuity.
The programme was facilitated by Dinusha Rajaratne of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, who shared perspectives on financial discipline and business decision-making, with a focus on challenges faced by suppliers operating within export-linked industries.
